For Students: Don't Stress There's Help!!

Philippians 4:13(CEV)
Christ gives me the strength to face anything.
I would definitely consider this my life verse.  This verse has been a reality for me ever since I can remember.  Paul played a huge part in God's plan for sharing the gospel with the world.  He was basically talking about his own life and how he found the key to facing and getting through all of it.  He was actually imprisoned when he wrote the book of Philippians.  So he was not just referring to past circumstances but also present. We will never go through half the stuff he went through.  Just to name a few, Paul was shipwrecked, stoned (people threw large stones at you and then they leave you to just bleed and die), thrown in jail, etc. Philippians 4:13 was why he was able to face what he went through.  I'm encouraged by the fact that if Christ can give him the strength to get through what he got through, I know He will do the same for me and you...and He has.

I'm a fan of Tim Tebow because of two reasons: One, he has the potential to be a great QB. Secondly, but probably more importantly, he's not trying to be the Christian superstar the media is making him out to be.  He simply acknowledges Christ's involvement in all that he accomplishes.  He's not trying to be the Christian spokesperson of the world.  It's just that his walk with Christ speaks of the confidence he has in Christ.

The fact that he has a platform to show Christ love and encourage millions of people is awesome but he doesn't chase it.  I also believe his prayer "let me glorify you, whether we win or lose" says a lot about his overall purpose for the position he's in.  Most importantly he acknowledges the strength of Christ in his life.  It encourages me to do the same and I hope it does the same for you.  I've added 7 takeaways that sticks out to me when I read this verse. I've also added 7 takeaways that may stick out to you in this verse.  I would encourage you think about your life and where you can apply this verse.

  1. Christ is with me when I need him most.
  2. Christ walks with me through this life so there’s nothing I can’t face.
  3. My strength is limited but Christ’s strength is everlasting.
  4. Nothing I face in life is bigger than Christ.
  5. The key to overcoming the hardships of life is Christ.
  6.  Christ is able to give me what I need to make it through.
  7. Christ strength is infinite.
More applicable takeaways:
  1. There is no class or final too hard Christ can't give you the strength to get through.
  2. There's no situation you've gotten yourself into that Christ can't give you the strength to get out of.
  3. There's no family situation that's beyond your control that Christ can't get you through.
  4. Christ can give you the strength to change your ways.
  5. Christ can give you the strength to get through the craziness of college life.
  6. Christ can give you the strength to get through a crazy relational brake up.
  7. Christ can give you the strength to get out of a crazy unhealthy relationship.
For more encouragement, I would love for you to post your life verse or add to the more applicable takeaways.

hope it helps
